A Weekly Review of the World of Typography
Releases:
☞
Puffin is the latest release from Bold Monday, which is a Collection of 42 fonts across two main families — Puffin, and Puffin Arcade. Puffin is a versatile humanist sans with a certain, well, puff in it. Puffin Arcade is an extension of the Puffin design into 12 playful bitmapped fonts with fun themes and even funner names.
☞
Graf from Type Everything is a “punchy display face” with “smiling ink traps", designed to make an impact. It’s available in just one style with a bolder, narrower construction and loads of alternates and ligatures.
☞
P22 released Babyfat, the fourth and final installment in a series of fonts honoring the late great Milton Glaser. Babyfat is an iconic forced perspective 3-D font that became popular for editorial and display use in the 1960’s, the Push-Pin era, and beyond. In addition to the original versions of Outline, Shaded, and Black styles, P22 expands the family to include six additional variations.
