Sliced & Diced

Chopped & Screwed

Type designers have produced some of the most iconic lettershapes in history, and it can often feel as though there are no more letters left to design. What are you left to do then but destroy the models that have come to be and build something new with the pieces. This mentality has been popular for a long time, but some type designers have recently taken to achieving new styles through slicing letterforms into horizontal layers, and sliding them askew of one another to get a stacked form that slants, leans, and dances on the reading line. This bubble is comprised of fonts that adhere to this slicing and dicing to achieve looks somewhere between the digital and analog worlds.
