Politip

BB Bureau

Politip is an experimental new typeface family from designer Benoit Bodhuin—a "simple and geometric design playing with the weightlessness of typography." Weightlessness may seem strange as a starting point for a typeface, but it's a novel, original point of inspiration that produces letterforms that ignore baselines or traditional kerned relationships. Across 7 weights, 5 widths, and 6 'height' variations, Politip is a typeface that arguably never looks the same twice.

Gintona

Sudtipos

Gintona is a "robust, fresh, and modern" slab serif typeface with 8 weights, ranging from delicately refined styles to bold and robust options. Its design combines traditional elements, such as thick serifs and pronounced ink traps, used primarily as a stylistic resource. "The diagonal terminals and organic shapes give it a warm and dynamic appearance" says Gintona's designer Eduardo Dulín.

Vanilla Sans

Blast FOundry

→ Designed by Rafał Buchner and Barbara Bigosińska, Vanilla Sans is a study in Geo-Sans hallmarks. "Its clean design excels in various applications, offering high legibility and and an understated sophistication. With additional arrows, symbols, and circled numerals, Vanilla Sans simplifies creating hierarchies and enhancing UX design. As a bonus, Vanilla Sans features 26 unique patterns, assigned to uppercase letters, sparking creative possibilities." The typeface is available in 8 weights of roman and italic styles, and as a variable font.

Early Sans

Character Type

Early Sans is a typeface family that draws inspiration from the earliest grotesque sans serif fonts, namely Breite Grotesk. It has all the hallmarks of traditional Grotesque design like graceful curves and branches, subtle evidence of a pen stroke skeleton, and what designers Henning Skibbe and Oleksandr Parkhomovskyy call "fluidity and rhythm". Early Sans™ is "the legitimate companion to Late Serif™. Distantly associated by design and closely related technically with the same vertical metrics, glyphs set and corresponding styles."

Late Serif

Character Type

Late Serif is "a silky, contemporary text serif typeface" of 5 fonts referencing Eric Gill's Perpetua. Late Serif does a great job at packing potent design choices into a limited character set across so few fonts, that it feels like it punches well above its weight as an editorial serif family. "The sickle-like expanding terminals of the above glyphs recur in various other letters, contributing an amiable character to the overall design." Late Serif connects seamlessly with Early Sans as they have the same vertical metrics, glyphs set and corresponding styles.

Blaacck

Black Foundry

Blaacck is a Lubalin-esque one-font release by designers Jérémie Hornus, Solenn Bordeau that started out as a commission and is now released for retail. "Our Vesterbro font in its Poster weight already had hints of the desired output, but we brought more softness to it with ball terminals and made it more compact while retaining its striking boldness." Blaacck has a very narrow with and bold , expressive details to enable "super-compact typesetting both horizontally and vertically."

Oceanic Text Mono

Interval Type

Oceanic Mono is a monospaced take on Interval Type's Oceanic serif family, which consists of display and text subfamilies already. The mono version of the text cut brings out the quirks and oddities that could otherwise be missed when the letters are more tightly spaced. "Oceanic draws inspiration from the upright contrast found in 18th and 19th-century fat faces like Bodoni, Canon, or Scotch Romans," so it has an air of classicism to it while being wholeheartedly contemporary in attitude. Oceanic Mono is available as a family of four weights.
